Design Changes

A challenge from a group of community leaders in Kitchener-Waterloo to give more to the arts—Design Changes is MFX Partner’s answer.

With a range of issues surrounding not only funding for art and culture organizations, but also accessibility for these organizations to make use of affordable professional services—Design Changes was a business model designed to address both.

Access
A social enterprise, Design Changes has been set up with a pricing strategy that allows it to offer exceptional graphic design and communication services to local non-profits and arts organizations at rates comparable to local freelancers. However, the very close tie to MFX Partner’s team and 27 years of international experience mean that organizations are getting access to more than a lone designer.

Funding
Being a social enterprise, Design Changes is creating a scalable fund to give back to the community. The fund will be created using 10% of the total revenue. The better Design Changes does, the more funding available to the community. The model allows cash-strapped organizations to use their money twice. Purchase much needed professional services and see their money used to support the betterment of the community their operating in.

MFX Partners is actively seeking input from the community on how best to use the money for maximum benefit to the organizations its trying to impact.
